Use UTM Codes To PinPoint Your Most Profitable Traffic Sources

Clkim Business accounts have, among other features, the ability to use UTM Builder. This new improvement allows our users to transfer data between Clkim and Google Analytics and improve the performance of their campaign.

The UTM codes is a simple code that you can attach to a custom URL in order to track a source, medium, and campaign name. This enables UTM Builder to tell you where your traffic came from as well as which campaign directed them to you.

Please use the following UTM tags:

Campaign Source (utm_source):
Use utm_source whenever you need to identify the traffic source of your clicks. You may use Clkim, or specify the actual source of the traffic. For instance the name of newsletter you are managing, the Facebook group your link swere posted to, the website that your are using, or the video the links were attached to, etc.
Example: utm_source=clkim

Campaign Medium (utm_medium):
Use utm_medium to identify a medium of the traffic. You may use referral or be more specific such as email, social, Facebook, newsletter, articles, etc.
Example: utm_medium=email

Campaign Term (utm_term):
Used for paid search. Use utm_term to note the keywords for this ad.
Example: utm_term=running+shoes

Campaign Content (utm_content):
Used for A/B testing and content-targeted ads. Use utm_content to differentiate ads or links that point to the same URL.
Examples: utm_content=logolink or utm_content=textlink

Campaign Name (utm_campaign):
In Analytics it is used for keyword analysis. Use utm_campaign to identify a specific product promotion or strategic campaign.
Example: utm_campaign=spring_sale
